You can help Force of Nature mobilise tomorrow’s climate leaders, today
Force of Nature is made up of the very young people we seek to serve. Our incredible community of young people are aged 16-35 and from over 50 countries.
We help others, like us, acknowledge our grief, anger, anxiety and despair about the climate crisis and develop feelings of agency, community and vision. We do this through free training programmes, delivered to a diversity of young people.

Fund our work
-
We are so grateful to our growing community of funders who include individuals, family and corporate foundations.
Their generosity and belief in young people as leaders of change has enabled us to adapt and grow our organisation and programmes, supporting over 10,000 young people along the way. You can learn more about our work in our Impact Reports from 2023 & 2022.
In 2023, their funding, supported 800+ young people through our programmes and graduated 155 young people through our training pathways (with 53% from underserved backgrounds).
““The Savitri Trust has funded Force of Nature for 2 years and we’ve been impressed by their team and the support and training they provide to young people worried about climate change. Consistently achieving their objectives, we have been reassured by their approach to their work and sustainable development.” – Siobhan McCarthy Morton, Grants Manager at the Savitri Trust -
Youth-led climate activism received just 0.76%* of all funding from the largest climate-focused foundations in 2022.
Every day at Force of Nature we witness young people’s energy and commitment towards climate justice and a more positive future, but there is simply not enough funding or resources directed to supporting them on their journeys to action. -
We build safe spaces for young people to explore their climate emotions, build community, and through our programmes, help them develop the skills they need to take meaningful action.
We’re proud to offer our programmes online and for free to young people aged 16 to 35; yet running them out of pocket limits their reach and frequency.
In 2024, our annual operating costs were £460,000 and in 2025 they will be £525,000. We rely on philanthropic grants, donations, and contributions from education establishments to cover these costs. You can find a breakdown of our costs in our fundraising presentation.
Force of Nature is registered as a Community Interest Company (CIC), all funding is used to develop and run our programmes and organisation. For more information about why Force of Nature is a CIC and what it means for grants and donations, visit our FAQs.

Why do we need funding?
We are so grateful to our growing community of funders who include individuals, family and corporate foundations.

Our plans for 2025 and beyond
In 2024, we decentralised our flagship programme Becoming a Force of Nature, and digitised our three training pathways – Facilitator, Speakers and Consultants trainings. Supporting young people to develop agency and skills at their own pace, from anywhere in the world. We also strengthened our community platform so that young people can more easily interact, share experiences and self-organise. Digitising and decentralising our programmes in 2024 will allow us to scale more easily in the future.
Over the next three years we have three main goals to grow our reach and deepen our impact. Here is a summary of these goals and what we’ll focus on in 2025:
Grow and deepen the reach of our work. We will support 3500 young people to come together as part of the Force of Nature community, to understand their climate emotions and develop the skills they need to take action. Ten international youth leads will be supported to organise climate cafés, run our mindset and skills based programmes and participate in focus groups which will shape their local work and programmes. We will pilot this new international model with five youth leads in 2025, expanding to ten from 2026.
Develop a library of skills-based trainings and resources that are accessible and translated into three languages. In 2025 we will expand the reach of our existing three skills based trainings - with the aim to have 800 young people graduate from our flagship programme Becoming a Force of Nature, and 500 graduate through our skills-based trainings, 35% of whom will be young people from underserved communities. We will also set the groundwork for 2026, when we will translate our training materials into an additional language, and develop two additional trainings in collaboration with partner organisations.
Working in partnership with others, we’ll create clear opportunities for employment and further learning once young people graduate from our trainings. In 2025 we will establish three key partnerships to provide graduates with employment and freelance opportunities. We will also develop tailored resources for each of the skills based trainings pathways, to refer graduates to further learning opportunities.
