You can help Force of Nature mobilise tomorrow’s climate leaders, today

Force of Nature is made up of the very young people we seek to serve. Our incredible community of young people are aged 16-35 and from over 50 countries.

We help others, like us, acknowledge our grief, anger, anxiety and despair about the climate crisis and develop feelings of agency, community and vision. We do this through free training programmes, delivered to a diversity of young people.

Fund our work

  • We are so grateful to our growing community of funders who include individuals, family and corporate foundations.

Their generosity and belief in young people as leaders of change has enabled us to adapt and grow our organisation and programmes, supporting over 10,000 young people along the way. You can learn more about our work in our Impact Reports from 2023 & 2022.

In 2023, their funding, supported 800+ young people through our programmes and graduated 155 young people through our training pathways (with 53% from underserved backgrounds).

  • Youth-led climate activism received just 0.76%* of all funding from the largest climate-focused foundations in 2022.

Every day at Force of Nature we witness young people’s energy and commitment towards climate justice and a more positive future, but there is simply not enough funding or resources directed to supporting them on their journeys to action.

  • We build safe spaces for young people to explore their climate emotions, build community, and through our programmes help them develop the skills they need to take meaningful action.

We’re proud to offer our programmes for free and accesssible online to young people aged 16 to 35; yet running them out of pocket limits their reach and frequency.

As of 2024, our annual operating costs are £460,000 per year, which are largely covered by philanthropic grants, donations, and some contributions from education establishments.

As a Community Interest Company (CIC), all funding is used to develop and run our programmes and organisation. For more information about why Force of Nature is a CIC and what it means for donations, visit our FAQs.

How do we use funding?

Looking to 2025

In 2024, we decentralised our flagship programme Becoming a Force of Nature, and digitised our three training pathways – Facilitator, Speakers and Consultants trainings. Supporting young people to develop agency and skills at their own pace, from anywhere in the world. We also strengthened our community platform so that young people can more easily interact, share experiences and self-organise. Digitising and decentralising our programmes in 2024 will allow us to scale more easily in the future.

In 2025 we’re excited to:

  • Expand our reach by developing more community-based partnerships that can refer young people to our programmes.

  • Launch regional hubs for our climate café initiative, to support ongoing and sustained community-based action.

  • Expand our existing three training pathways and create an opportunities platform, so that young people can expand their learnings and find work beyond Force of Nature.
